Unique Mother-Father Puja Celebrated in Jamshedpur School
CP Samiti Middle School Honors Parents in Special Ceremony
In Jamshedpur, a unique celebration honoring parents underscores the importance of family bonds and cultural values.
JAMSHEDPUR – The CP Samiti Middle School in Kebul Basti, in collaboration with the Sri Sri Yoga Vedanta Seva Samiti, hosted a special Mother-Father Puja Day, transforming the school auditorium into a space of reverence and gratitude towards parents.
The event, typically observed on February 14 but preponed due to Saraswati Puja, saw students expressing their respect and love for their parents through traditional rituals like tilak application, garlanding, aarti, and seeking blessings.
In a reciprocal gesture, parents also performed worship for their children, symbolizing mutual respect and the deep bond between generations.
Dinesh Kumar, President of the school, emphasized the role of educational institutions not just as centers of learning but as places where values, culture, and civilization are imparted and cherished.
He highlighted the growing challenge of ageism and the diminishing reverence for elders in society, advocating for sustained love and care towards parents.
Archana Singh from the Yoga Vedanta Seva Samiti elucidated the significance of parent worship, drawing parallels with mythological practices where deities like Lord Ganesha revered their parents, thereby setting an example for human conduct.
The program, led by Archana Singh, culminated with a vote of thanks by acting Principal Amit Kumar Singh, and saw notable participation from the school and committee members, reinforcing the community’s commitment to fostering respect and love within families.
