Preparations for Independence Day Celebrations in West Singhbhum Underway

District Commissioner and Police Superintendent chair meeting to finalize plans for August 15th event.

In West Singhbhum, a meeting was held at the Collectorate auditorium to discuss preparations for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, chaired jointly by District Commissioner Kuldeep Chaudhary and Police Superintendent Ashutosh Shekhar.

CHAIBASA – West Singhbhum District Commissioner Kuldeep Chaudhary and Police Superintendent Ashutosh Shekhar held a meeting on Friday to finalize the arrangements for the 78th Independence Day celebration on August 15, 2024.

The main event will be held at the Police Line Center in Chaibasa at 9:05 AM, followed by flag hoisting at the Singhbhum Divisional Commissioner’s office, the District Collectorate, and various other government offices and the Red Cross Society premises.

Commissioner Chaudhary emphasized that the Independence Day celebrations in the district should be conducted with great enthusiasm.

Instructions were given for the cleaning and garlanding of all martyr memorials and statues of great leaders.

A selfie point will be set up at the Collectorate, and cleanliness drives will be conducted in the area.

Guidelines were also provided for organizing blood donation, health, and de-addiction awareness camps by various social organizations on the occasion.

Arrangements for seating for all visitors, including the media and the public, will be ensured at the main event venue.

Additionally, ceremonial gates will be constructed at various locations in the city.

Other specific instructions were given to the concerned officers to ensure proper arrangements.

The meeting was attended by the Divisional Forest Officer, ITDA Project Director, Sub-Divisional Officer Podahat-Chakradharpur, Assistant Collector, In-charge Officer General Branch, Nizarat Branch, Headquarters Deputy Superintendent of Police, and other district and police officials.
