Jamshedpur’s aspiring farmers gather to learn sustainable livestock management techniques for economic empowerment.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Rural Self-Employment Training Institute (RSETI) in East Singhbhum district has launched an innovative program to nurture agricultural entrepreneurship.
Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar inaugurated the 10-day intensive training focusing on goat rearing and poultry farming.
The initiative targets participants from various blocks, aiming to equip them with skills for successful agri-business ventures.
"RSETI training provides a robust platform for aspiring entrepreneurs seeking self-employment opportunities," Kumar emphasized during his address.
He highlighted the potential of these ventures to not only create self-employment but also generate jobs for others in rural communities.
The program’s curriculum covers crucial aspects including livestock maintenance, vaccination protocols, and disease management for both chickens and goats.
"Women, in particular, can significantly improve their economic standing through these low-investment, high-return enterprises," Kumar noted.
The training emphasizes the accessibility of goat and poultry farming, requiring minimal capital, space, and effort while promising substantial returns.
Key figures from JSLPS, RSETI, and other relevant organizations were present, offering their expertise and support to the participants.
This initiative aligns with broader efforts to promote sustainable rural development and create diverse income streams in East Singhbhum’s agricultural sector.
