Chess Prodigies Shine at JOGGA Inter-School Championship in Jamshedpur

Young Talents Showcase Strategic Brilliance in Two-Day Tournament at JRD Tata Sports Complex

The JOGGA Inter-School Chess Championship concluded with remarkable displays of skill from junior and senior players across Jamshedpur’s educational institutions.

JAMSHEDPUR – The JRD Tata Sports Complex hosted a thrilling chess competition, bringing together young minds from various schools in a battle of wits and strategy.

Vibhuti D Adesara, Head of Sports (Training Centres and Events) at Tata Steel, graced the event as the chief guest.

The tournament featured separate categories for junior and senior divisions in both boys and girls sections.

Firoz Khan, Vice President of JOGGA, played a key role in overseeing the event’s proceedings.

Jhimjhimi Nandi, Principal of JUSCO School Kadma, lent her support to the young chess enthusiasts.

Anandita Roy, Deema Tiwary, and Gopal Singh contributed their expertise as event officials.

The championship witnessed intense matches over two days, culminating in an awards ceremony on Friday.

"The level of play demonstrated by these young chess players is truly impressive," remarked a local chess coach. "It’s heartening to see such strategic thinking at this age."

JUSCO School Kadma emerged victorious in the Junior Boys category, showcasing their tactical prowess.

J.P.S. claimed the top spot in the Senior Boys division, demonstrating advanced chess skills.

M.N.P.S. dominated the girls’ categories, securing first place in both Junior and Senior divisions.
