CHAIBASA – Naxalite operatives launch clandestine poster blitz, rattling Karaikela residents with calls for regional shutdown and weeklong commemoration.

Tension gripped Karaikela as locals discovered Maoist propaganda plastered across villages overnight.

The audacious campaign by CPI(Maoist) extremists declared a Jharkhand-Bihar bandh for July 25.

Additionally, the group announced plans to observe a "martyrs’ week" from July 28 to August 3.

Authorities swiftly responded to reports of the illicit posterings in Mahali Sai, Chauk, and surrounding areas.

"We’re taking all necessary precautions to maintain peace," stated Ankit Kumar, Karaikela police station chief.

Kumar led a team to remove the provocative materials, including posters, banners, and pamphlets.

The Naxalites cited recent arrests, including that of leader Comrade Jaya Hembram, as motivation for their planned actions.

"This annual observance is deeply rooted in Maoist ideology," explained Dr. Sharma, a regional security analyst.

He added, "It serves to honor their fallen and reinforce opposition to what they view as oppressive systems."

Local inhabitants expressed concern over potential disruptions during the announced events.
