JAMSHEDPUR – The Baba Baidyanath Seva Sangh is set to organize a free Kanwar Yatra, drawing participants from various parts of Jamshedpur, including Mango, Bishtupuri, and Harijan Basti.
Over 1100 pilgrims from Jamshedpur have registered for the upcoming Kanwar Yatra to Sultanganj, organized by the Baba Baidyanath Seva Sangh.
The journey, scheduled to begin on July 28, will see devotees from various parts of the city participating in this spiritual endeavor.
Vikas Singh, a founding member of the Sangh, shared details about the pilgrimage during a meeting held at Thakkar Baba Club in Dhatkidih.
He emphasized the symbolic gesture planned for the journey, stating, "We will pluck 1100 flowers from Jamshedpur’s gardens, string them together, and offer them to Baba Baidyanath."
The organizers have made comprehensive arrangements for the eight-day journey, including rest stops and meals for the pilgrims.
Participants will be easily identifiable, with women wearing blue caps and men donning yellow vests.
The pilgrims will travel in groups of five, embarking on their journey after a prayer ceremony at Rankini Temple in Kadma at 1:00 PM on July 28.
Many participants have already applied for leave from their workplaces to join this spiritual expedition.
The meeting at Thakkar Baba Club saw attendance from key organizers and hundreds of potential pilgrims, both men and women.
Among those present were Kishore Barman, Sanjay Mukhi, Arvind Mahato, and Chhote Lal Mukhi, along with Vikas Singh.
This annual event continues to draw significant participation, reflecting the deep-rooted spiritual traditions in Jamshedpur and surrounding areas.
