Tata Steel Zoological Park Hosts Four-Day Training With CZA Support

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Zoological Park, in association with the Central Zoo Authority, inaugurated a four-day capacity building programme for zoo keepers from Eastern India on Monday.

The inaugural session took place at 10:00 AM in the Centre for Excellence, Jamshedpur. Senior officials from the Jharkhand Forest Department and representatives of the Tata Steel Zoological Society attended the ceremony.

The programme, scheduled from 25th to 28th August, is designed to strengthen the skills, knowledge, and motivation of zoo keepers. Sessions will be held daily at the NEC, Tata Steel Zoological Park, with a valedictory function on the final day.

Around 30 participants from 21 zoos across Eastern India joined the training. Employees of Tata Steel Zoological Park are also part of the workshop.

The training involves interactive discussions, expert-led lectures, and practical demonstrations. It highlights the role of zoo keepers as the frontline custodians of animal care.

Event organisers stated that the initiative underlines the commitment of Tata Steel Zoological Park and the Central Zoo Authority towards animal welfare, conservation, and professional development in Indian zoos.
