Bank of Baroda Celebrates 117th Foundation Day in Jamshedpur

Regional office marks occasion with community initiatives and branch expansions

Bank of Baroda’s Jamshedpur office commemorates milestone with environmental and social outreach programs.

JAMSHEDPUR – Bank of Baroda’s Regional Office in Jamshedpur celebrated its 117th Foundation Day with a series of community-oriented events and initiatives.

A walkathon featuring 200 staff members kicked off the celebrations, starting from Jubilee Park to promote environmental awareness among citizens.

Regional Head Manish Prakash Sinha and Deputy Regional Head Sunil Kumar Saha led the festivities, which included garlanding a portrait of BoB Founder, Maharaja Sir Sayaji Rao Gaekwad III.

"Our Foundation Day celebrations reflect our commitment to both our heritage and the community we serve," Sinha stated during the event.

The bank organized a free health check-up camp in collaboration with Brahmanand Narayana Multispeciality Hospital for staff, their families, and customers.

A blood donation drive saw enthusiastic participation from bank employees, demonstrating their commitment to social causes.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, the bank undertook several community projects from July 18 onwards.

These included installing a 2000-liter water tank at Jamshedpur Birla Mandir, planting approximately 500 trees, and donating computers and furniture to local schools.

The regional office honored ten national and international level athletes from Jamshedpur under the theme ‘Champion’s Honor.

Three new branches were inaugurated at Parsudih, Dimna, and an SME branch, marking the bank’s expansion in the region.

Mukul Vinayak Choudhary, Chief Sports at Tata Steel and CEO of JFC, and Vijay Anand Moonka, President of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, graced the branch openings as special guests.

"These new branches represent our commitment to serving more customers and supporting local businesses," Deputy Regional Head Saha commented.

The celebrations highlighted Bank of Baroda’s deep-rooted presence in Jamshedpur and its ongoing efforts to contribute to the community’s well-being and development.
