JAMSHEDPUR – The funeral of senior journalist Sheikh Alauddin, who died in a road accident on Tuesday, took place on Wednesday, drawing a large crowd of mourners from various walks of life.

"Sheikh Alauddin’s untimely death is a great loss to journalism in our region," remarked former Union Minister Arjun Munda, who attended the funeral. "His dedication and outspoken nature will be sorely missed."
