Fatal Accident Sparks Protests, Shuts Down Kharsawan Market

Following Prashant Modak’s death in a road accident, residents shut down Kharsawan market and blocked all major routes, demanding action against the driver.

KHARSAWAN – After Prashant Modak, a resident of Kharsawan, died in a road accident, angry locals took to the streets.

On Saturday night, a speeding Maruti Ertiga struck Modak while he was walking, leading to his death.

Early Sunday morning, locals closed the Kharsawan market and blocked roads leading to the high school, causing significant disruption.

Modak was first taken to a local health center after the accident but succumbed to his injuries on the way to TMH.

The protestors are demanding that the police identify and take action against the driver responsible and provide compensation to Modak’s family.

Police are on the scene trying to calm the crowd, but the protest continues.

Long lines of vehicles have formed on the roads leading in and out of Kharsawan as the blockade persists.
