Court Orders Vacating of Kalimati Road Shop Amid Ongoing Dispute
In Sakchi’s Kalimati Road, a long-standing dispute between a tenant and shop owner over vacating the shop was resolved on Tuesday following a court order.
JAMSHEDPUR – In the Sakchi area, the long-standing dispute over a shop on Kalimati Road was resolved on Tuesday, with a court ordering the tenant to be reinstated in the shop.
For the past six months, tenant Amarjeet Singh and shop owner Gurdeep Singh were embroiled in a conflict over vacating the shop.
Following a court order, Amarjeet Singh was given possession of the shop, while the decision went against the shop owner, Gurdeep Singh.
Executive Magistrate Sumit Prakash was present as police broke the lock placed by Gurdeep Singh on the shop and reinstated the tenant, Amarjeet Singh.
During the proceedings, there were confrontations with the police, and locals surrounded the police jeep.
According to reports, the dispute between Amarjeet Singh and Gurdeep Singh, who lives in the Bagan area, started over a rent increase.
Both parties had also filed cases against each other at the Sakchi police station.
