Dr. Ajoy Kumar Alleges Bias in Jamshedpur Housing Demolition Notice
Dr. Ajoy Kumar Questions Basis of NGT Order, Seeks Clarity from District Administration
Former MP accuses officials of working with BJP mindset, vows to protect homes in Bhuiyadih and surrounding areas.
JAMSHEDPUR – Dr. Ajoy Kumar, former MP and Congress leader, has raised concerns over the recent demolition notices issued to residents of Bhuiyadih and nearby areas, alleging potential bias among district officials.
In a press statement released Monday, Dr. Kumar accused some officials of conspiring to defame the India Alliance government in Jharkhand.
The leader claimed that Chief Minister Hemant Soren has assured no houses in Bhuiyadih, Kalyan Nagar, Indira Nagar, or Chaya Nagar will be demolished.
Dr. Kumar questioned the basis of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) order that reportedly led to notices being issued to 150 houses near the river.
The Congress leader has written to the Deputy Commissioner seeking clarification on several points related to the NGT order and survey process.
Dr. Kumar expressed skepticism about the officials’ inability to provide satisfactory answers regarding the NGT’s directive.
He suggested that some government officials might be working with a BJP mindset to harass the poor and middle class while tarnishing the current government’s image.
The former MP had previously written to the Chief Minister on Saturday, urging immediate action on this issue.
Dr. Kumar assured residents that not a single house would be allowed to be demolished under the India Alliance government.
The leader’s statements highlight growing political tensions surrounding the proposed demolitions in Jamshedpur’s riverside areas.
