A youth was shot dead by Naxalites at a market in the remote Naxal-affected village of Nachalda in Sonua police station area, West Singhbhum district.
CHAIBASA – A youth was shot dead by Naxalites in the remote village of Nachalda in Sonua police station area, West Singhbhum district.
The incident occurred yesterday evening.
The Naxalites also set the youth’s motorcycle on fire.
Upon receiving the information, Sonua police and CRPF teams arrived at the scene today.
They sent the body for postmortem.
Although the deceased youth has not been identified, it is reported that he is not from Nachalda or the surrounding villages, which is why locals could not recognize him.
The motive behind the murder is still unclear.
According to villagers, the youth had arrived on a motorcycle.
During this time, a group of Naxalites caught him.
They took him a short distance from the market and shot him in the head on the Lonjo-Nachalda main road.
They set his motorcycle on fire near the school.
