MTMC Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Academic Block

New facility at Tata Main Hospital to enhance medical training for students.

Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC) celebrated a significant milestone with the inauguration of its new Academic Block at the Tata Main Hospital (TMH) OPD Block on the second floor.

JAMSHEDPUR – Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC) on Friday opened its new Academic Block on the second floor of the Tata Main Hospital (TMH) OPD Block. This is an important step forward in the college’s growth and progress.

The facility is designed to give students hands-on training in a realistic clinical setting.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of Senior Superintendent of Police, East Singhbhum, Kishor Kaushal, IPS, as the Chief Guest, and Civil Surgeon, East Singhbhum, Dr. Jujhar Majhi, as the Guest of Honour.

Representatives from MTMC, including the Dean and representatives from TMH, were also present at the event.

Kishor Kaushal spoke highly of MTMC’s contribution to promoting excellence in education, research, and patient care.

Dr. Jujhar Majhi highlighted how crucial the Academic Block is in creating a favorable learning atmosphere for honing vital clinical skills.

The Dean of MTMC expressed his pride in the new facility, emphasizing its dedication to offering top-notch medical education and training.

Tata Steel’s Nest-In initiative recently finished constructing a modern rooftop outpatient department (OPD) that covers an area of 31,605 square feet. The construction was done on top of an existing two-story building using advanced Light Gauge Steel Framing (LGSF) technology.

This achievement, which was completed in only nine months despite facing challenges from the monsoon, highlights Tata Steel’s dedication to sustainable construction practices and healthcare infrastructure.

Tata Steel is currently working on plans to build a 135,000 square foot indoor facility. This project shows their commitment to improving healthcare and educational infrastructure in the area.

MTMC, which is a unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), provides MBBS and Allied Health Sciences programs that aim to provide thorough training and academic assistance to aspiring healthcare professionals.
