JAMSHEDPUR – A road safety awareness campaign, initiated by District Magistrate Ananya Mittal, is educating students across Jamshedpur’s educational institutions.

"About 500 students at Patamda Degree College and Inter College learned about road safety rules," stated Traffic DSP Sanjay Kumar Singh.

The campaign emphasizes helmet use for two-wheeler riders and seat belts for four-wheeler occupants.

Students were informed about driving license procedures and age restrictions for operating vehicles.

"We advised against mobile phone use while driving and stressed helping accident victims," Singh added.

The initiative highlights the importance of following traffic signals and installing high-security number plates.

Information on compensation in Good Samaritan and hit-and-run cases was also provided.

A quiz competition concluded the session, with correct respondents awarded helmets.

Road Safety Manager Prakash Kumar Giri and Road Engineering Analyst Naveen Kumar attended the event.

This campaign is part of broader efforts to reduce road accidents and promote safe driving in Jamshedpur.
