Hemant Soren Reviews Recruitment and Infrastructure Projects in Jharkhand

Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren directs speedy completion of recruitment and flyover projects.

State aims to fill 30,000 vacancies by September 2024.

RANCHI – The progress of various state government projects and recruitment processes was reviewed by Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in a meeting with officials at the state secretariat.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of filling vacancies in various departments to ensure smooth operations and the success of public welfare programs.

Recruitment Drive and Police Appointments

The Chief Minister, Mr. Soren, emphasized the significance of promptly finishing all ongoing recruitment processes.

He mentioned that the aim is to hire 30,000 individuals for different government roles by September 2024.

The Chief Minister specifically instructed officials to speed up the process of hiring 5,000 police personnel and 583 excise constables.

The CM was informed by an official that the selection process for excise constables will be finished by July 2024, and the police recruitment process will be completed by August 15, 2024.

Infrastructure projects such as flyovers and smart city developments are being undertaken.

The meeting also discussed the progress of infrastructure projects, specifically the construction of flyovers in Ranchi.

Chief Minister Soren has instructed the road construction department to speed up the work on the Siramtoli to Mecon Chowk flyover and address any obstacles that are slowing down the progress.

He also told the urban development department to make sure that the Kantatoli flyover is completed on time without any unnecessary delays.

Smart City Ranchi

In the context of Smart City Ranchi, Chief Minister Soren highlighted the importance of building the Taj Hotel and Apollo Hospital as top priorities.

He asked the officials to work together with the Taj Hotel management to create a quick project plan and complete all the necessary procedures to establish Apollo Hospital.

Improving Police and Public Engagement

The Chief Minister, Mr. Soren, requested the police officials to enhance the policing systems in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, and Dhanbad by utilizing modern equipment.

He suggested that field-level police officers should organize public grievance sessions to address local issues.

The Chief Minister highlighted the significance of enhancing police presence in both urban and rural areas in order to instill a feeling of safety among the residents.

Participation of Senior Officials

The meeting was attended by important officials, including Chief Secretary L. Khiyangte, Additional Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, Home Department Principal Secretary Vandana Dadel, DGP Ajay Kumar Singh, and other individuals.

Their presence highlighted the government’s dedication to quickly and efficiently carrying out these directives.
