Two Jamshedpur Youths Stranded In Dubai After Job Scam
Families Seek SSP’s Help To Bring Back Farooq And Aftab Alam Ansari
Local training institute director accused of misleading victims with false promises.
JAMSHEDPUR – Two young men from Mango, Jamshedpur, who were duped into believing they were getting a job, are stuck in Dubai.
On June 1, Farooq and Aftab Alam Ansari, residents of Bagansahi Road No. 7, Azadnagar, left for Dubai in search of lucrative employment.
"They paid Rs 75,000 each to Aamir, a local training institute director, for the opportunity," a relative said.
When the young people arrived, they were forced to sign a two-year contract with tight conditions and found their earnings had decreased.
They complained about the unjust conditions, and as a result, their passports were seized.
"Their visas expire on July 2," the worried relative said.
Families who felt their complaints went unanswered by local police have turned to the Jamshedpur SSP for help.
The SSP has ordered a thorough investigation into the case by the Azadnagar police.
This instance emphasizes the necessity for appropriate vetting and the dangers associated with accepting unconfirmed job offers from overseas.
Investigating the local training institute’s possible involvement in the scheme is anticipated of the authorities.
