Rural areas to see increased vehicle checks to combat bike theft smuggling.
JAMSHEDPUR – All Station House Officers (SHOs) have been directed by SSP Kishore Kaushal to carry out intensive traffic rule enforcement drives throughout the city.
"At meetings at the Burmamines police station, Kaushal said that actions taken by traffic SHOs will be closely examined on a weekly basis."
The crackdown focuses on infractions such as using cell phones while driving, using dark films, and not wearing seat belts.
In an effort to prevent bike thefts, rural SPs have been instructed to do more vehicle paperwork checks.
The SSP stressed that "both urban and rural areas will face intensified scrutiny."
It is required of police stations to classify and keep an eye on locations used for lawful and unlawful parking.
To stop theft situations, parked cars will undergo routine inspections.
Increased enforcement actions against drunk driving and speeding will be implemented in the Sakchi, Bistupur, and NH-33 sectors.
To find offenders, mouth analyzer tests and speed guns will be used.
The objective of this effort is to decrease vehicle-related crimes in Jamshedpur and enhance overall traffic management.
