Authorities Detail Comprehensive Plans Ensuring Safety and Harmony During Festive Season
In a proactive approach to ensure a smooth Durga Puja celebration, officials from various departments gather for a strategic meeting to review and coordinate security and public convenience in Jamshedpur.
JAMSHEDPUR – High-ranking officials convened at the DC office of Jamshedpur for a critical review meeting to chalk out detailed plans for law and order maintenance and civic amenities in view of the upcoming Durga Puja festivities.

State Drinking Water and Sanitation Secretary Manish Ranjan and Inspector General of Police (IG) Akhilesh Kumar Jha led the meeting, emphasizing the need for inter-departmental coordination.
A Call for Seamless Coordination
Secretary Manish Ranjan urged all departmental officials to act swiftly, remain vigilant 24/7, and prioritize the responsibilities assigned by the district administration. Inspector General Jha instructed for stringent checks on fire safety measures and surveillance systems in the Puja pandals.
Robust Surveillance & Safety Measures
A plethora of surveillance and safety measures have been put in place. Apart from monitoring through drone cameras and CCTVs, fire extinguishers have been installed in all pandals. A special team will verify the list of volunteers from the control room and keep an eagle eye on social media activities.
Extensive Administrative Preparations
Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri revealed that ‘war rooms’ have been set up in all municipal bodies, including an additional control in Ghatshila sub-division. Scheduled inspections and preparations for emergency medical services are also in place.
The district administration has also engaged in dialogues with various committees and civic bodies to ensure adherence to safety standards and maintenance of law and order. Special care is being taken in identifying sensitive pandals and areas requiring stringent law enforcement.
