Officials Educate Young Drivers On Traffic Rules And Responsible Behavior
Initiative aims to reduce accidents and promote safe driving practices among Jamshedpur’s youth.
JAMSHEDPUR – The district administration has launched a comprehensive road safety awareness campaign in urban areas, following directives from District Magistrate Ananya Mittal.
"Our goal is to instill a sense of responsibility and awareness about road safety among young drivers," stated a Traffic DSP involved in the campaign.
The initiative saw participation from Motor Vehicle Inspectors (MVI) and Road Safety Committee members.
Campaign organizers emphasized the importance of helmet use for two-wheeler riders and passengers.
"Wearing helmets and seat belts can save lives. We’re urging youth to make these habits routine," an MVI official explained.
The program provided detailed information on obtaining driving licenses and stressed the illegality of underage driving.
Officials highlighted the dangers of using mobile phones while driving and the importance of assisting accident victims.
"We’re also educating youth about giving way to emergency vehicles," a Road Safety Committee member added.
This campaign responds to the increasing number of road accidents involving young drivers in the area.
The district administration plans to continue such awareness programs to promote safer roads in Jamshedpur.
