Door-to-Door Initiative Aims to Update Rolls Ahead of State Assembly Elections

Party workers to focus on adding young voters and removing deceased names from electoral lists.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a comprehensive door-to-door campaign to revise voter lists in preparation for the upcoming State Assembly elections.

"Our workers will ensure every eligible voter is registered and the lists are up-to-date," stated Sudhanshu Ojha, BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar President, during a meeting at the District Office in Sakchi.

Key Campaign Points

The Key campaign initiatives include the following:

  • BJP workers to assist in adding names of young and new voters at each booth.

  • Efforts to remove names of deceased voters from the lists.

  • Training sessions planned for party workers at booth level.

  • Helpline number 7004650457 established, with Anjan Sarkar as the point of contact.

Additional Initiatives

There were several additional initiatives chosen as a part of the campaign. These include:

  • ‘Ek Pedh Ma ke Naam’ Campaign

  • Workers to plant trees at booths to honor motherhood and promote environmental conservation.

  • Participants encouraged to plant with their mothers or in their memory.

  • ‘Mann ki Baat’ and Environmental Drive

  • Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Mann ki Baat’ program to be hosted at booths on June 30.

  • Campaign to make water sources plastic-free to be conducted simultaneously.

Organizational Updates

Regarding the organization, several initiatives were taken.

  • Babua Singh appointed as coordinator for ‘Ek Pedh Ma ke Naam’ campaign.

  • Pradeep Besra and Subodh Jha named as co-coordinators.

"These initiatives reflect our commitment to both electoral integrity and environmental conservation," Ojha added.

The meeting saw attendance from key BJP figures including District council President Bari Murmu, Sanjeev Sinha, and several others, underscoring the party’s focus on grassroots mobilization ahead of the elections.
