Football and Archery Trials Set for Young Athletes in Kolhan Division

Local sports authorities seek promising youth for residential training programs, offering a platform for budding athletes to showcase their skills in football and archery across Kolhan Division.

JAMSHEDPUR – A talent selection trial for young athletes in football and archery is scheduled for June 29, 2024, aiming to fill positions in residential sports training centers across the region.

The Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, in collaboration with the District Administration East Singhbhum Sports Branch, is organizing a one-day talent search event for aspiring athletes.

The trials will take place at two separate venues in Jamshedpur, catering to different sports disciplines.

Tinplate Sports Complex will host the football trials for both boys and girls, while archery enthusiasts will gather at the AEC Ground near BPM School in Burmamines.

"We’re excited to discover new talent in our region," said a representative from the District Sports Office. "This initiative provides a fantastic opportunity for young athletes to receive professional training and potentially kickstart their sporting careers."

The event targets youth aged 10 to 14 from East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, and Saraikela Kharsawan districts.

Participants are required to bring necessary documentation, including photographs, identification, and any relevant sports achievement certificates.

The selection process aims to fill 15 football vacancies and one archery position across various training centers in the Kolhan Division.
