Dr. Dineshanand Goswami Inaugurates Night Cricket Tournament in Baharagora

Former BJP State Chief praises rural youth initiative, emphasizes importance of grassroots sports

BAHARAGORA – Dr. Dineshanand Goswami, former Jharkhand BJP state president, inaugurated the ‘Four Boundary Night Cricket Tournament’ in Khandamouda village of Baharagora block on Sunday.

Goswami cut the ribbon and played a few cricket shots to officially start the youth-organized event.

The BJP leader praised the organizers for hosting such a tournament with limited resources in a rural area.

He emphasized that such competitions provide a platform for developing rural talent.

The event saw participation from local political leaders and BJP functionaries.

Mukhiya Panchanan Munda and Deputy Mukhiya Tanushri Mandal were among the local officials present.

BJP district vice-president Jyotsnamayi Bera and Kisan Morcha district president Srivats Ghosh attended the inauguration.

Other notable attendees included Baharagora Mandal president Rajkumar Kar and local BJP leaders.

This grassroots sports initiative highlights the growing interest in cricket even in remote villages.

The night cricket format adds a unique dimension to rural sports activities in the region.
