Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth Falls Victim to Cybercrime, Fake Facebook Account Created

Cybercriminals have created a fake Facebook account in the name of Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, asking for money from people. The MP has demanded investigation and action.

RANCHI – A concerning case of cybercrime has surfaced from Ranchi, Jharkhand where unidentified cybercriminals have created a fraudulent Facebook account of Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth.

Through this fake account, they have been demanding money from individuals.

MP Sanjay Seth has lodged a complaint with the police regarding this issue.

Seth also shared screenshots of the fake account on his official Facebook page, stating that his name has been misused to create a fake account and demand money.

He requested people to avoid trusting or conducting transactions with such accounts and assured that he has asked the administration to take swift action on this matter.

He also tagged Jharkhand Police in his post, seeking their immediate attention.

According to MP Seth, he was conducting a public relations campaign in several villages of Ormanjhi when he started receiving calls from numerous people informing him about the fraudulent activity.

Following these calls, he immediately informed the police and plans to file a written complaint upon returning from his campaign.

He has also taken to Jharkhand Police’s Facebook page and Twitter handle to share his concern.

MP Seth revealed that an important meeting of the IT Committee is scheduled for Monday in Delhi, and he intends to bring up this incident during the meeting.
