Hill Top School Hosts CISCE Zonal Basketball Trials

Over 300 Students Compete for Regional Selection Spots

Three-day event showcases young basketball talent from 21 local schools.

JAMSHEDPUR – The CISCE Zonal Basketball Selection Trial 2024 concluded successfully at Hill Top School, featuring intense competition among student athletes from across the region.

More than 300 participants from 21 schools demonstrated their skills during the three-day event.

"The trials provided an excellent platform for young basketball talent to shine," remarked one of the selectors, Yogesh Kumar Pandey.

Trials were conducted in three age categories: U14, U17, and U19, for both boys and girls.

Selectors from Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya and St. Mary’s English School oversaw the rigorous selection process.

Referees from Jharkhand Basketball Association ensured fair play throughout the competition.

Participating schools included prominent institutions like Carmel Junior College, D.B.M.S. English School, and Loyola School.

The trials saw fierce competition as players vied for spots in the CISCE Regional Basketball Selection Trial 2024.

Twelve players and three stand-by players from each category were selected to advance to the regional level.

The event highlighted the depth of basketball talent in Jamshedpur’s school system.

Organizers praised the enthusiasm and sportsmanship displayed by all participating students and schools.
