Dr. Ajoy Kumar Alleges NEET Exam Irregularities
Former Jamshedpur SP Criticizes BJP Government Over NEET Controversy
Dr. Ajoy Kumar, former SP of Jamshedpur and ex-MP, returned to Jamshedpur, holding a press conference in Sakchi to criticize the new BJP government, alleging irregularities in the NEET exam.
JAMSHEDPUR – Dr. Ajoy Kumar, renowned for his tenure as SP of Jamshedpur, held a press conference in Sakchi, raising serious concerns over the NEET UG exam held on May 5, 2024.
He highlighted that the exam, conducted at 4,750 centers nationwide with over 23 lakh participants, faced controversies due to the early release of results on June 4, despite being scheduled for June 14.
Dr. Ajoy pointed out the suspiciously high number of perfect scores, with 67 students scoring 720 out of 720 marks, and questioned the sudden rise in such scores.
He also noted that the National Testing Agency (NTA) had given grace marks to 1563 students due to delayed starts at six exam centers.
Dr. Ajoy accused the central government of allowing leaks and manipulations in the NEET exam, criticizing Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for allegedly covering up the scandal.
He demanded transparency in the exam process, calling for the release of details of students scoring above 580 marks, alignment of 12th board marks with NEET scores, and publication of video recordings from suspicious exam centers.
Dr. Ajoy stated, "The NEET exam under the current government is riddled with issues and lacks transparency."
He affirmed that Congress would address these concerns in Parliament.
Dr. Ajoy was joined by senior party leaders, including Dharmendra Sonkar, District President Nagar, Rabindra Jha, Bablu Jha, District Vice President, and other party members during the press conference.
The call for transparency and accountability resonated with the attendees, emphasizing the need for reforms in the examination process.
