Former Councilor Raises Alarm Over Drug Activity in Jayprakash Udyan

Former councilor Neetu Sharma has expressed serious concerns regarding the increasing number of drug addicts at Jayprakash Udyan in ward 17 of Adityapur Municipal Corporation.

Sharma, in a letter to the in-charge of Adityapur police station, called for swift action to tackle this pressing issue.

JAMSHEDPUR – Former councilor Neetu Sharma has raised the alarm over the rising presence of drug addicts in Jayprakash Udyan, urging authorities to take immediate action.

Sharma pointed out that the removal of vegetable vendors from Jayprakash Udyan has resulted in an influx of anti-social elements.

She reported incidents of drug consumption and harassment of passersby, especially young girls and women.

To combat these issues, Sharma has called for increased police patrolling in the area.

Additionally, Sharma has requested a meeting between the police and local residents to build trust and ensure cooperation.

She also reached out to the Forest Department, advocating for the completion of the park’s boundary wall to enhance security.

These combined efforts aim to address the growing safety concerns of residents in the vicinity.

Sharma emphasized the importance of community involvement in solving these problems, stating, "It is crucial for the police and citizens to work together to ensure a safe environment."

The situation at Jayprakash Udyan has highlighted the need for effective security measures to protect the residents of ward 17.

Authorities are urged to respond promptly to these concerns to restore peace and safety in the area.
