Stringent Security Measures in Place to Ensure Integrity of Counting Process
BJP supporters gathered in large numbers outside the Co-operative College counting center in Jamshedpur, celebrating candidate Bidyut Baran Mahato’s lead of over one lakh votes amidst a vibrant atmosphere filled with drum beats, colors, and chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) tent near the counting center became the hub of jubilation as party workers, including the women’s wing, rejoiced in the success of their candidate.
The celebrations intensified with each round of counting favoring Bidyut Baran Mahato, as supporters danced with flags and cutouts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
BJP Metropolitan President Sudhanshu Ojha and former district president Devendra Singh were among the party leaders present to witness the unfolding of the results.
The area surrounding the counting center resembled a lively fair, with numerous food and drink stalls catering to the large crowds gathered in anticipation of the results.
Vendors offered a variety of snacks and refreshments, ensuring that security personnel had easy access to breakfast and could stay hydrated in the heat.
Stringent Security Measures
Despite the festive atmosphere, stringent security measures were in place to maintain the integrity of the counting process.
Barricades were set up to restrict vehicle access near XLRI junction and the main gate of Co-operative College, with entry limited to pass holders only.
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) maintained a vigilant presence, allowing only individuals with Election Commission-issued passes to enter the premises.
Senior officials, including SSP Kishore Kaushal and City SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat, were present on-site to oversee the proceedings and ensure that order was maintained throughout the event.
The tight security arrangements aimed to prevent any untoward incidents and ensure a smooth and transparent counting process.
As the celebrations continued, BJP supporters expressed confidence in their candidate’s victory, eagerly awaiting the final results to be declared.
