Nine High Schools in East Singhbhum Elevated to Plus Two Status
Initiative Aims to Enhance Educational Opportunities and Reduce Burden on Intermediate Colleges
In a significant educational development, nine high schools in East Singhbhum district have been upgraded to Plus Two schools following approval from the Directorate of Secondary Education.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Directorate of Secondary Education has given its approval for the upgrade of nine high schools in East Singhbhum to Plus Two schools.
This initiative seeks to improve educational opportunities and alleviate the strain on current intermediate colleges in the area.
The admission process for Class 11 has already started in these specific schools.
This upgrade holds great importance considering the recent changes in educational policies, such as the elimination of intermediate studies in government degree colleges.
Due to these changes, there has been a decrease in the number of seats available in affiliated colleges.
As a response, the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has decided to decrease the total number of seats available for intermediate education.
As a result, high schools underwent a transformation into Plus Two institutions.
The conversion is intended to make intermediate education delivery more efficient and in line with new education policy directives.
This new approach aims to bring a more human touch to the educational experience by streamlining intermediate studies in Plus Two schools. By optimizing resources and enhancing accessibility for students, we are working towards creating a more inclusive and student-centered learning environment.
The nine high schools newly designated as Plus Two schools are High School Parulia, Upgraded High School Chapadi, Upgraded High School Hansra, High School Bhalki, Upgraded High School Jarsa, Upgraded High School Rasiknagar, High School Mahulia, Upgraded High School Kerukacha, and High School Tirildih.
