ED to Interrogate Jharkhand Minister Alamgir Alam for Three More Days

Rural Development Minister Faces Extended Questioning in Tender Commission Case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will continue interrogating Jharkhand Government’s Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam for three more days as part of the ongoing investigation.

RANCHI – Jharkhand’s Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam will be questioned for 3 more days. The ED has been granted a three-day extension by the PMLA court for further questioning.

On Monday, Alamgir Alam made an appearance in the PMLA court, where the court granted the ED a three-day remand for the minister.

Alamgir Alam has been remanded for questioning for the third time.

In the past, he was placed in custody for six days and later for five days.

Alamgir Alam was apprehended by the ED on May 15 following a thorough questioning session regarding the tender commission case.

After being arrested on May 15, Alamgir Alam was taken to court on May 16 and was initially sent to the ED for a six-day remand.

After that, there was another five-day remand.

Minister Alamgir Alam has been questioned by the ED for a period of 11 days.

Alamgir Alam has managed to avoid answering the majority of the 50 questions he was asked by claiming a lack of information.

The purpose of extending the remand period is to gather additional information and provide further clarity regarding the minister’s role in the case.
