Meteorological Department Predicts Evening Thunderstorms and Rain Across Multiple Districts
Jharkhand, including Kolhan, experienced extreme heat, with temperatures soaring above 40 degrees Celsius in several districts, and thunderstorms are predicted for the evening.
JAMSHEDPUR – The state of Jharkhand, including Kolhan, endured severe heat and humidity on Friday, leading to a miserable situation for residents.
Godda recorded the highest temperature at 42.1 degrees Celsius.
Seraikela’s temperature was 41.8 degrees Celsius, while West Singhbhum recorded 38.1 degrees Celsius.
In Jamshedpur, the maximum temperature reached 40.3 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 28.8 degrees Celsius.
On Friday, temperatures in nine districts surpassed the 40-degree mark.
The Meteorological Department has forecasted thunderstorms with rain in the late evening for several districts, including Gumla, Lohardaga, Ranchi, Seraikela-Kharsawan, West Singhbhum, Khunti, East Singhbhum, Bokaro, and Ramgarh.
The expected wind speed during these storms will be 30-40 km per hour.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours.
The anticipated rain and thunderstorms may provide some respite from the scorching heat.
Authorities are urging people to take necessary precautions to cope with the extreme weather conditions.
