SERAIKELA – The BJP’s women co-beneficiary conference, held in Raghunathpur under Ichagarh assembly, saw a massive turnout of women from the region.
BJP Jharkhand state in-charge Laxmikant Bajpai, former minister Dr. Lewis Marandi, and Padmashree awardee Chami Murmu were the chief guests.
Laxmikant Bajpai highlighted several key initiatives by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government.
He mentioned the abolition of triple talaq, the introduction of 33 percent reservation for women in the army, and the construction of 12 crore toilets in villages.
Bajpai noted, "The government has ensured water supply to 12 crore households and built toilets in schools for girls."
He also stressed the significance of safety measures, with over 75 percent of deliveries now taking place in government hospitals.
Bajpai criticized the Hemant Soren government, stating, "In the past four years, 6,000 girls were raped, and the government has failed to protect them."
Dr. Lewis Marandi echoed these sentiments, highlighting the Modi government’s efforts in women’s welfare.
She said, "Prime Minister Modi’s initiatives, like the Ujjwala scheme and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, have significantly benefited women."
Marandi criticized the JMM government, accusing it of being anti-women and reversing beneficial schemes.
She told the attendees, "The BJP government had empowered women by registering land for them at one rupee, but the Hemant government halted this scheme."
Chami Murmu, who recently returned to Jharkhand after receiving the Padmashree award, also addressed the gathering.
Hundreds of NDA workers, including former MP Kamal Bhan Singh Maravi and former MLA Arvind Singh, attended the event.
The conference underscored the achievements of the Modi government and called for the removal of the current state administration.
