JAMSHEDPUR – Sacred Heart Convent School’s Environment Club organized a field trip to Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary, fostering deep environmental stewardship among students.

Principal Sister Rashmita AC emphasized the students’ role as environmental messengers, inspired by the 2024 Earth Day theme, "Planet vs Plastics."

Students learned about local tribal communities and enjoyed interactive experiences with the sanctuary’s wildlife.

The Forest Department provided insights into forest fire prevention and management during the visit.

Visits to the Dalma Museum and Deer Park included hands-on interactions with the animals, enhancing student engagement.

Facilitated by the Forest Department, the trip offered students a close look at the region’s biodiversity.

Forty-seven students participated in the excursion, guided by three dedicated teachers, exploring the natural beauty and ecological significance of the sanctuary.

SHCS teachers initiated this program to instill an appreciation for environmental preservation through practical, hands-on learning.
