Rajendra Vidyalaya Marks Earth Day with Recycling

Students of Rajendra Vidyalaya and KORU Foundation team up for recycling initiative.

In Jamshedpur, Rajendra Vidyalaya’s celebration of Earth Day emphasized recycling as a key component in combating environmental degradation. This initiative, driven by the school’s Eco Club and supported by the KORU Foundation, saw students and faculty actively participating in waste collection and recycling efforts.

JAMSHEDPUR – Rajendra Vidyalaya’s celebration of Earth Day emphasized recycling as a key component in combating environmental degradation.

Kiran Sinha, Eco Club moderator and Senior In-charge, spearheaded the initiative, focusing on collecting various recyclables such as e-waste and plastics from the entire student body.

Shruti Jaiswal, President of the Eco Club, led efforts among the students from all grades to gather a significant amount of recyclable materials, setting a practical example of effective waste management.

The school’s soft boards served as an educational tool, showcasing creative displays about recycling and its benefits to the environment.

Discussion sessions led by teachers highlighted the urgent need to preserve our environment, engaging students in a meaningful dialogue about sustainability.

School authorities, including Principal Jayanti Singh and Vice Principal Piyali Mukherjee, reinforced the message of environmental responsibility and urged students to continue their efforts beyond the event.

D. Vani, the Junior In-charge, stressed the importance of individual actions in waste reduction during her interactions with the younger students.

A teacher mentioned, "Today’s effort is a stepping stone towards a sustained environmental focus at our school."

Another teacher attending the event expressed, "It’s inspiring to see our children involved in such important causes."
