RANCHI – In Ranchi, Yashaswini Sahay, daughter of former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay, has been chosen to contest the Lok Sabha seat.
This announcement was made at the Ulgulan Maharally in Ranchi, during which party leader Mallikarjun Kharge hinted at her nomination.
Yashaswini, a law graduate with additional legal education abroad, steps into the political arena under the gaze of her well-established family background in politics and the arts.
The party made a significant change in Godda, where internal opposition led to the replacement of candidate Deepika Pandey Singh with Pradeep Yadav.
This decision follows intense protests from party workers who believe Yadav has a stronger chance against the incumbent, Nishikant Dubey, who has won the seat three times.
