New list reveals significant changes for Ranchi and Godda constituencies ahead of elections
Congress has recently unveiled its candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand, causing a stir with key changes in ticket allocations. This strategic move seems aimed at bolstering the party’s chances in the region’s challenging electoral battles.
RANCHI – In Ranchi, Yashaswini Sahay, daughter of former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay, has been chosen to contest the Lok Sabha seat.
This announcement was made at the Ulgulan Maharally in Ranchi, during which party leader Mallikarjun Kharge hinted at her nomination.
Yashaswini, a law graduate with additional legal education abroad, steps into the political arena under the gaze of her well-established family background in politics and the arts.
The party made a significant change in Godda, where internal opposition led to the replacement of candidate Deepika Pandey Singh with Pradeep Yadav.
This decision follows intense protests from party workers who believe Yadav has a stronger chance against the incumbent, Nishikant Dubey, who has won the seat three times.
In Godda, the newly appointed Yadav is set to challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Dubey, setting the stage for a highly anticipated electoral contest.
Meanwhile, in Ranchi, Yashaswini Sahay will face off against BJP’s Sanjay Seth, marking her debut in a politically charged environment.
Candidate Backgrounds
Yashaswini Sahay’s candidacy in Ranchi underscores the Congress party’s strategy to leverage familial political legacies in securing voter support. Her academic and professional background in law may appeal to constituents seeking knowledgeable and skilled representation.
Electoral Dynamics
In Godda, sources say, the selection of Pradeep Yadav reflects the party’s responsiveness to grassroots demands, emphasizing a tailored approach to each constituency’s unique political climate and challenges.
