Innovative Engineering Programs Set to Launch Across Various Departments
NIT Jamshedpur is expanding its academic portfolio with the introduction of part-time M.Tech courses, pending final approvals.
JAMSHEDPUR – NIT Jamshedpur is expanding its academic portfolio with the introduction of part-time M.Tech courses, pending final approvals.
This initiative, approved by the Senate, is awaiting the green light from the Board of Governors to commence.
The new courses are set to include specialized fields such as Structural Engineering in the Civil Engineering department, with an inaugural intake of 20 students.
The Computer Science and Engineering branch will offer two courses: Computer Science and Engineering, and Information Science and Security Engineering, each also planning to enroll 20 students.
Electronics and Communication Engineering will introduce a course in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems, while Metallurgical and Material Engineering will launch a course in Iron and Steel Technology.
Additionally, the Production and Industrial Engineering branch will start a Production Management course, also aiming for an enrollment of 20 students in the first batch.
These programs, each spanning three years, are part of NIT Jamshedpur’s strategy to cater to working professionals seeking advanced education without interrupting their careers, with a target start date by 2025.
