Hindu Community Celebrates New Year with Grand Shobha Yatra Across Jamshedpur
Processions from Multiple Locations Converge at Ambagan Maidan Amid Festive Fervor
The Hindu New Year was marked by vibrant celebrations as various Hindu organizations across Jamshedpur organized a grand Shobha Yatra, with processions starting from several locations and culminating at Ambagan Maidan in the evening.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Hindu community in Jamshedpur came together to celebrate the New Year with great fervor, as a magnificent Shobha Yatra was organized by numerous Hindu organizations throughout the city.
The processions originated from various points, including Dimna Subhash Maidan, Mango Gandhi Maidan, Telco Ram Mandir, Jugsalai Ram Tekri Road, and Agrico, before converging at Ambagan Maidan as the evening drew to a close.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, especially from the youth, who passionately waved saffron flags and raised slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ throughout the procession.
To ensure a smooth and orderly event, the administration had made comprehensive arrangements, including the installation of barricades at strategic locations to minimize inconvenience to the general public.
The procession from Dimna commenced in the afternoon, with the roundabout and its vicinity adorned with saffron flags, while the air reverberated with chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’.
Former DIG Rajiv Ranjan Singh, along with representatives from various organizations, actively participated in the procession, while administrative officials, including DSP Bhola Prasad, Traffic DSP Sanjay Kumar Singh, and SDO Parul Singh, closely monitored the law and order situation, appealing to participants to adhere to the guidelines set by the administration.
As the Shobha Yatras from different areas converged at Mango, they proceeded towards the Swarnrekha Bridge before finally assembling at Sakchi Ambagan.
The event showcased the unity and religious fervor of the Hindu community in Jamshedpur, as they celebrated the New Year with great enthusiasm and devotion.
