Parents Protest School Failures and Discrimination in Jamshedpur
Beldih Church School Accused of Using Bouncers Against Parents
In a significant escalation of tension between parents and educational institutions in Jamshedpur, allegations have surfaced regarding unfair student failures and forced transfers at several schools. This comes amid wider concerns over similar practices at many local schools.
JAMSHEDPUR – Discontent is spreading among parents in Jamshedpur as reports of large-scale student detentions, failures, and forced transfers emerge from several schools, including the latest notable in the league Beldih Church School in Bistupur.
Parents allege a growing atmosphere of discrimination within Beldih Church School, with some students reportedly promoted to the next class under the condition of confidentiality about their results.
Frustrated parents have now approached the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), seeking intervention to ensure their children’s promotion to the next class, highlighting a systemic issue of neglect and bias in the school’s administration.
Accusations have intensified with claims that the school’s principal resorted to using bouncers to obstruct parents from voicing their concerns, effectively barring them from presenting their grievances directly to the school authorities.
A group of parents attempted to confront the principal about the unjust failures, only to be allegedly forced out, further exacerbating tensions between the school administration and the parents, they alleged.
The situation reached a peak at Beldih Church School following similar uproars at Rajendra Vidyalaya, DBMS, and other schools, where parents collectively protested against the alleged unfair treatment of their children.
Parents from various schools in Jamshedpur are facing a crisis, challenging what they perceive as a pattern of punitive academic policies and lack of transparency, pushing them to demand action for their children’s rights.
