JAMSHEDPUR – The 68th Junior National Ball Badminton Championship, held at the Patliputra Stadium in Patna, wrapped up today, marking the end of a competitive event that began on March 10. Young athletes from across the nation competed in both the boys’ and girls’ team categories, displaying exceptional talent and sportsmanship.
Dignitaries at the closing ceremony included Y Raja Rao, Prof Naval Kishore Yadav, and Gauri Shankar, celebrating the achievements of the participants. Among the attendees were state secretaries, officials, and players from all participating states, acknowledging the success of the championship and the outstanding performances of the winning teams.
Abhishek Kumar from Jamshedpur was awarded the Best Upcoming Player, recognizing his exceptional skills and potential in ball badminton. His performance stood out among the participants, earning him accolades and recognition.
In the girls’ category, Tamil Nadu claimed the top spot, followed by Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Kerala. The final matches showcased intense competition and teamwork, leading to Tamil Nadu’s victory.
The boys’ team category saw Andhra Pradesh taking first place, with Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Maharashtra following in the rankings. The finale was a thrilling conclusion to the event, with Andhra Pradesh emerging victorious.
