Jamshedpur Students Shine in Road Safety Awareness Drawing Competition

Young Indians’ initiative draws 600 student artists across 20 schools, spotlighting road safety through creativity.

JAMSHEDPUR – A city-wide drawing competition focusing on road safety has successfully culminated, with 600 students from 20 schools participating. Organized by Young Indians, the event aimed to heighten awareness of road safety among children through artistic expression.

Naitik Pereya from SDSM School emerged as the victor, clinching the first place. Following him, Sudeshna Dutta from Jusco School South Park secured the second position, with Afshan Parveen of Dayanand Public School taking third. In addition to the top winners, 15 other participants were awarded consolation prizes.

The competition results were announced by District Transport Officer Dhananjay Kumar, who lauded the initiative for its innovative approach to road safety education. The event also featured Shruti Jhunjhunwala and Sakshi Gupta from the Young Indians Road Safety Vertical, emphasizing the collective effort towards promoting safety on the roads.

Highlighting a future-oriented approach to road safety, Young Indians discussed the significance of integrating driving license training and awareness into school and college curriculums. Kumar expressed his support for this initiative, committing to assist in setting up driving license awareness camps within educational institutions.

With plans to extend these awareness camps to colleges, Young Indians continues its dedicated efforts to instill road safety consciousness among young learners, reinforcing the importance of responsible driving practices from an early age.
