Tata Motors Jamshedpur Announces Yet Another Block Closure on March 9

Two-day closure at Jamshedpur plant impacts employees and local industries

Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur plant will observe a two-day shutdown, affecting operations and causing financial strain for employees and local industries.

JAMSHEDPUR – The continuous shutdowns at Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur plant are taking a toll on its workforce and the surrounding industrial area.

This second block closure in March follows four in February.

Operations are slated to restart on Monday after the weekend shutdown.

Sunday, being a weekly holiday, contributes to the extended closure period.

With Saturday marked for shutdown, the plant will cease operations for two consecutive days.

The recurring closures are pressuring employees financially, as they receive only half their salary during these times.

Local industrial units in Adityapur are also feeling the pinch, facing losses due to reduced orders from Tata Motors and its ancillaries.
