CM Champai Soren Showers Development Schemes in Seraikela-Kharsawan

Over 80 Schemes Inaugurated in Seraikela-Kharsawan District Aimed at Holistic Development

Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren’s commitment to statewide progress is highlighted through the launch of 84 schemes, aimed at enhancing irrigation, education, and social welfare, signaling a comprehensive development approach for all society sectors.

SERAIKELA – In a landmark initiative, Chief Minister Champai Soren has earmarked over Rs 356 crore for the comprehensive development of Seraikela-Kharsawan district, demonstrating the government’s commitment to ensuring the welfare and progress of every citizen.

The total funding includes Rs 28 crore for inaugurated projects and a substantial Rs 328 crore for foundational schemes.

This robust financial injection is set to catalyze a range of sectors, including irrigation, education, and social welfare.

Central to this initiative is the Pipeline Irrigation Scheme, designed to revolutionize agricultural practices and enhance food security across the state.

"We are determined to create an ecosystem where every farmer can thrive, ensuring a prosperous future for Jharkhand," stated an agriculture department spokesperson, underscoring the significance of the new irrigation scheme.

The ceremony at the Kharkai Ganjia Barrage unveiled the government’s strategic blueprint for elevating Jharkhand into the ranks of developed states, focusing on strengthening the foundational aspects of economic, educational, and social systems.

Strengthening Irrigation and Agriculture

The initiative to supply water directly to fields through pipelines is a testament to the government’s foresight in agricultural innovation.

"Our mission is to ensure that water reaches every corner of our farmers’ lands, irrespective of their size," highlighted a senior official from the irrigation department, marking a pivotal step towards modernizing farming techniques in Jharkhand.

By initiating pipeline water distribution in key divisions like Santal, Palamu, and Kolhan, the government showcases its commitment to a sustainable agricultural future.

Education and Social Welfare Initiatives

A major push towards educational excellence is evident in the government’s policy to fund the schooling of tribal, Dalit, and backward class children.

"Providing quality education to every child is the foundation of our vision for Jharkhand’s development," stated an official from the education department, reflecting on the importance of inclusive educational initiatives.

The creation of additional green ration cards for 20 lakh families underscores a comprehensive approach to social welfare, aiming to mitigate food insecurity among the state’s most vulnerable populations.
