RANCHI – A landmark decision to offer farmers an 80% subsidy on agricultural equipment was among 40 proposals approved in today’s state cabinet meeting.

Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel unveiled numerous decisions aimed at enhancing agricultural support and educational facilities.

Among the approvals was the operation of 44 residential schools by a non-governmental organization, marking a stride in educational reform.

The meeting also introduced new promotion reservation rosters for state level posts, ensuring equitable opportunities.

Significant amendments include changes to the Jharkhand State Archives Service Recruitment Rules and the Jharkhand Factory Act of 1950.

Government service women will benefit from up to two years of child care leave, reflecting the administration’s commitment to supporting working mothers.

The financial blueprint for 2024-25 received the green light, alongside the endorsement of the Jharkhand Food and Processing Policy 2024.

A novel approach to health care involves a partnership with a Karnataka agency to enhance ICU facilities across several hospitals.

Children above three years old in Anganwadi centers are to receive eggs at a fixed rate, ensuring nutritional support.

The pulse and salt distribution schemes have been renamed to reflect the Chief Minister’s initiative, highlighting a focus on food security.

A government-funded mall in the World Trade Center will showcase handicraft products, promoting local artisans and their work.

Important decisions taken in the cabinet meeting

• Approval of amendment in Jharkhand State Archives Service Recruitment Rules.

• Women working in government service will get leave up to 2 years under child care leave for their children during their service period.

• Approval of amendment in Jharkhand Factory Act 1950.

• Approval to create 25 posts in non-cadre cadre in Jharkhand High Court.

• Approval of the budget estimate for the financial year 2024-25.

• The appeal of Jharkhand Administrative Service CO KP Ram was rejected.

• Approval of Jharkhand Food and Processing Policy 2024.

• Approval to merge DRDA i.e. District Rural Development Agency with Zilla Parishad. Under this, 380 personnel will be adjusted in the Zilla Parishad.

• To provide eggs to children above 3 years of age in Anganwadi centres, the rate of Rs 6 per egg has been fixed and it will be purchased by the maid.

• Approval to enter into agreement with Karnataka agency for 10 beds, ICU beds and Tele ICU on PPP mode in Government Health Center and Hospital. RIMS, Phulo Jhano Hospital Dumka, Dhanbad and 21 sub-division hospitals will have the facility of Tele ICU.

• Approval to change the name of the pulse distribution scheme run by the Jharkhand government to Chief Minister Pulse Distribution Scheme. Under this, there is a provision of giving 1 kg gram dal for free.

• Approval of Rs 1 billion 32 crore was given for the pending payment of paddy purchase.

• Approval was given to name the salt distribution scheme as Chief Minister Salt Distribution Scheme.

• Approval was given to build a mall in the World Trade Center where handicrafts products will be kept for sale. The state government will construct the mall at its own level at a cost of Rs 162 crore.
