Kalpana Soren Marks Political Entry with Emotive Debut

Wife of Hemant Soren Vows to Fight for Jharkhand’s Rights

Kalpana Soren, stepping into the political arena, pledges to contest against the forces responsible for her husband’s imprisonment, making a significant impact during the JMM foundation day in Giridih.

GIRIDIH – Kalpana Soren, in her first public appearance, captivated over 10,000 attendees with a stirring speech that not only marked her entry into politics but also underscored a vow to combat the forces that led to her husband, Hemant Soren’s, incarceration.

The event, commemorating the 51st foundation day of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) in Giridih district, became the platform for Kalpana’s emotional and political message, resonating particularly with women, youth, and the masses.

Emotionally overwhelmed, Kalpana expressed her gratitude and resolve, indicating her readiness to uphold and fight for Jharkhand’s rights amidst political challenges.

Her speech critiqued the central government’s actions against tribal, Dalit, and minority communities, accusing it of conspiratorial politics aimed at undermining Jharkhand’s leadership and autonomy.

Championing Jharkhand’s Cause

Kalpana posed critical questions regarding the treatment of her husband, Hemant Soren, and the actions taken by his government, including demands for state dues from the Centre and legislative moves to support local communities and minorities.

She highlighted the unity and determination among JMM legislators as a force against attempts to destabilize the state government, urging a strong electoral response to affirm Jharkhand’s resolve against injustice.

A New Political Voice

Kalpana’s debut speech not only signifies a new chapter in her life but also represents a fresh voice in Jharkhand politics, one that promises to continue the fight for justice and equity championed by Hemant Soren.

Before embarking on her political journey, Kalpana paid homage at a significant tribal religious site, emphasizing her deep connection to the state’s cultural and spiritual roots.
