RANCHI – The Chief Election Commissioner cum Secretary K Ravi Kumar has instructed the state officials to ensure that the instruction relating to transfer of police and administrative officials is completed as mandated by the Election Commission.
Now, immediate action has been mandated for the transfer and posting of officials in Jharkhand.
Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar has underlined the need for adherence to Election Commission’s guidelines.
The CEC has observed that officials not yet transferred or contributing at new posts are causing electoral delays.
Ravi Kumar’s directive aims to ensure readiness for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Compliance Urgency
It may be mentioned here that the Election Commission has consistently communicated the importance of these transfers.
Earlier too, letters were sent on multiple dates, emphasizing the urgency of compliance.
This process aims to prevent any administrative hurdles once election dates are announced.
Operational Challenges
The CEC of Jharkhand has stated that incomplete compliance with transfer orders is impacting election preparations adversely.
According to him, officials at the district level remain unallocated, hindering critical electoral work.
He asked the state officials to ensure that transferred officials are relocated within two days to ensure electoral integrity.
