Farmers to Receive Hailstorm Damage Compensation

Farmers in Ranchi to be compensated for crop damage due to a recent hailstorm, as per the Deputy Commissioner’s instructions.

RANCHI – Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha has instructed all zonal officers to assess and provide records of crop damage caused by the hailstorm on February 14, 2024.

The aim is to compensate farmers under the natural disaster category identified by the Government of India.

Rahul Kumar Sinha emphasized the creation of help desks in respective zones for farmers to submit applications regarding crop damage.

Officers are to assess the damage, prepare proposal documents, and submit them through the Deputy Collector Land Reforms, Sadar/Bundu by February 20, 2024.

The instructions aim to ensure timely compensation to affected farmers.
