Sakchi Shiv Temple to Celebrate 35th Sri Sri Shyam Mahotsav

Famed Bhajan Singers to Enliven Jamshedpur with Spiritual Melodies

The 35th Sri Sri Shyam Mahotsav at the Sri Sri Sakchi Shiv Temple is set for a grand celebration on Tuesday, 20th February, with the community eagerly anticipating an evening filled with devotion and music.

JAMSHEDPUR – The festival will feature performances by renowned bhajan singers, including Reshmi Sharma from Samastipur and the Shubham-Rupam duo from Kolkata, who are set to grace the event with their soul-stirring bhajans.

Local talent Mahavir Aggarwal will also join the lineup, ensuring a diverse musical offering to the devotees.

The festivities are scheduled to commence at 9 pm, with the sequence of bhajans extending into the late hours, inspired by divine will.

Highlights of the Mahotsav include a grand court, extraordinary decorations, aromatic perfume showers, the presentation of Chhappan Bhog, the lighting of Akhand Jyot, and extensive Sankirtan, promising a memorable spiritual experience.

A special procession, bearing the flag named Shyam, will set forth from the Sakchi Shiv Temple at 2 pm, winding through various routes before returning to the temple, with over 1100 devotees expected to participate.

The event’s success is being diligently prepared by a dedicated team including Subhash Shah, Suresh Agarwal, and numerous others, all united by their devotion to Shyam.

This year’s Sri Sri Shyam Mahotsav not only celebrates the spiritual legacy of the temple but also brings together the community in a shared expression of faith and devotion.
