IAS Transfer Shake-Up in Jharkhand within Hours, Key Positions Impacted

In a notable administrative overhaul, Jharkhand’s government made swift changes to key IAS positions, impacting several posts.

RANCHI – The government of Jharkhand has executed a significant alteration in the IAS cadre, with immediate changes to several district commissioners’ postings, including a major switch involving the positions of the DCs of Bokaro and West Singhbhum.

The reshuffle was announced late Monday night, marking a significant shift in administrative assignments.

Kuldeep Chaudhary, previously the DC of Bokaro, has now been appointed as the DC of West Singhbhum, Chaibasa.

Vijaya Jadhav, who was slated to take over as the DC of West Singhbhum, has instead been assigned as the DC of Bokaro.

Before this adjustment, Jadhav served as the Additional Secretary in the Planning and Development Department.

This swift administrative change was part of a broader shake-up that saw 16 officers of the Jharkhand Administrative Service being reassigned.

These transfers included notable positions such as Deputy Development Commissioners and Under Secretaries in various departments.

Officials moved included those from educational, urban development, land acquisition, and regional transport authorities, reflecting a wide-ranging administrative restructuring.

This move is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to optimize administrative efficiency across the state.
