Vision Beyond Life: Deepak Gandhi’s Legacy

Jamshedpur’s MMM and Roshni Foundation Lead Eye Donation Initiative

Deepak Gandhi’s posthumous eye donation exemplifies a growing movement for sight restoration in Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a heartfelt testament to the enduring impact of organ donation, the late Deepak Kantilal Gandhi’s eyes were donated, ensuring his vision lives on.

This generous act was facilitated by Marwari Mahila Manch (MMM) Jamshedpur and Roshni Foundation, with Deepak’s family’s full support.

Deepak’s sudden passing on Sunday night led to the swift coordination of his eye donation at his Bistupur home, marking a poignant moment of legacy.

The procedure was expertly carried out by Dr. Vivek Kedia, alongside Taru Gandhi, Parvinder, and Prasad from the Roshni Foundation, under MMM’s eye donation campaign head Sushila Khirwal’s guidance.

MMM’s campaign for eye donation in Jamshedpur has significantly heightened public awareness and willingness to contribute to this cause.

The organization’s commitment to facilitating eye donations at no cost is a crucial part of its mission to encourage societal participation in this noble endeavor.

MMM officials, including Bina Agrawal, Sushila Khirwal, and Seema Agrawal, are ready to assist families interested in making this life-affirming donation.

The story of Deepak Gandhi’s eye donation underscores a community’s commitment to giving the gift of sight, with his family, including wife Uma and children Dharmesh, Prashant, and Kavita, embracing this act of kindness.
