Officials Focus on Increasing Enrollment of Children Under 5 Years

JAMSHEDPUR – A district-level Aadhaar monitoring committee meeting, held under Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal’s directives, reviewed center operations and addressed low child enrollment concerns.

District Panchayat Raj Officer Rinku Kumari chaired the session. Meanwhile, officials identified the low Aadhaar registration rate among children aged 0-5 years as a major concern. The education department highlighted birth certificate issues as a key obstacle.

Strategic Initiatives

The committee ordered special camps for birth certificates. Furthermore, they set a one-week deadline for compiling lists of unregistered children. Officials aim to streamline the registration process through targeted interventions.

Banking Sector Integration

Lead District Manager reported progress in Aadhaar center establishment. Moreover, location identification is underway for centers in Patmada and Boram block banks. The initiative aims to improve accessibility across the district.

Administrative Oversight

The meeting saw participation from key officials. Additionally, the District Social Welfare Officer and UID representatives contributed to the discussions. The committee emphasized coordinated efforts for improved service delivery.
